Printing Tips

When you view your gallery, all the images you see are ready for you to use as you please. They’ve been carefully selected and edited for color, contrast, cropping, and exposure. You’re free to download, share, and print anyway you’d like. Image edits are done swiftly, focusing on the entire gallery rather than individual images. If there’s a specific picture you adore and feel could use some adjustments before printing, just let me know, and I’ll gladly make those tweaks for you.

If you choose to undertake the printing process personally, here are a few tips to ensure the best results:

Brightening

Prints often appear darker than they do on screens, so a bit of brightening before printing can be beneficial. Especially for larger prints or when printing multiples of the same picture, such as cards or invitations, it’s wise to do a test print. Professionals at photo labs can assist you throughout this process.

Aspect Ratio

Consider the aspect ratio when selecting print sizes. Most of the pictures in your gallery maintain the original 35mm ratio (3:2).

  • To preserve the same look as on screen, stick with sizes like 4×6, 8×12, or 16×24.
  • If you prefer traditional sizes like 8×10 or 11×14, be aware that some cropping may occur.
  • While many images still look great with this adjustment, some may lose their intended composition.
  • Fortunately, online resources make it easy to find frames and mats for prints in the 3:2 ratio.
  • Additionally, certain images may be displayed in a square (1:1 aspect ratio) or panoramic format (2:1 or 3:1), offering more creative options.
